Amazing Kiltwalkers
Scotland’s Virtual Kiltwalk took place on the last weekend in April. Over 11,000 people took part raising support for over 1,000 different charities.
18 walkers (13 people and 5 dogs) were walking to help people affected by leprosy.
A church team from Glasgow walked the parish boundary.
Steve from Callander walked nearly 30 miles along the ring of hills around the town.
Neil from Turriff climbed the steps in his local park 60 times to reach the height of a Munro.
Others walked different routes near to their homes.
Thanks to The Hunter Foundation everything raised by Kiltwalkers was topped up by 50%. In all, this year’s walkers raised over £20,000 to help make leprosy a thing of the past.
A huge thank you to everyone you took part!
There are plans to hold an in-person Kiltwalk in Glasgow towards the end of the summer. Will you take part?
