Help People Like Khun Today

(This fundraising campaign is now closed)

Khun has had leprosy for seven or eight years. He has taken Multidrug therapy, but due to stigma in his village he came to Mawlamyine Christian Leprosy Hospital.

When his wife found out he had leprosy, she left. She went to Thailand to earn a living and remarried. His extended family are ashamed of the disease. They didn’t want him to stay at home. He says that this would not have happened if he learned about leprosy early and if he took treatment earlier.

He is keen that other people know how and where to get treatment and that leprosy is not something to be scared of or feel ashamed about.

Please give to help Mawlamyine Hospital to be able to treat more people like Khun from across Myanmar. People are coming from far and wide to the only place they can get help. Please give them the help they need.
