Girl affected by leprosy

“My wife’s legacy is transforming lives in India”

A gift left in the will of a passionate supporter of The Leprosy Mission is transforming lives in India – a country close to her heart, as her husband told me later.

Betty was active in her local Church and her local Leprosy Mission Area Committee. As part of a project they were funding, Betty paid for two homes to be built in India for people affected by leprosy. Learning about issues surrounding poverty and leprosy, she understood the transformational work that could be achieved by Scottish supporters.

Deciding to Stand in the G.A.P. for people affected by leprosy, Betty committed herself to give, act and pray. Inspired by faith, she raised prayerful and financial support.

Leaving a gift in her will, Betty’s kindness ensures that the Lord’s work continues through The Leprosy Mission Scotland beyond her lifetime.

Betty’s faithful support, during and after her lifetime, takes us one step closer towards defeating leprosy. Even when we reach this stage, we are committed to caring for families, dependents and others still affected by leprosy.
